Privacy Policy
What this site collects, why, and how it's handled — in plain language, matching what the site actually does today.
Last updated: August 14, 2026
This is a plain-language draft describing the current, actual behavior of this website. It has not been reviewed by legal counsel and should not be relied on as a binding legal document until it has been.
The short version
This site is a static marketing and product-demonstration website. It does not run ads, does not use analytics or tracking scripts, and does not have a live account system — the Login and Dashboard pages are a simulated product demo, not a real, data-storing application. We collect very little, and what we do collect stays on your device or is sent only where you explicitly choose to send it.
What we collect
Information you provide directly
If you use the Contact form, the details you type (name, email, organization, message) are placed into a pre-filled email opened in your own email client via a mailto: link. They are not transmitted to any server we operate — your message only leaves your device when you choose to send that email yourself.
Information stored in your browser
This site uses your browser's local storage (not cookies) to remember a small number of preferences on your device only, so they aren't lost between visits:
- Your selected display language.
- Which demo case is currently open on the Dashboard page.
- Which demo role you selected on the Login page.
None of this is transmitted to us — it never leaves your browser, and clearing your browser's site data removes it entirely.
Information collected automatically
This site is hosted on GitHub Pages and loads fonts from Google Fonts. As a normal part of serving any web page, GitHub and Google may log standard request information (such as IP address and browser type) under their own respective privacy practices — this happens independently of anything this site's own code does. See GitHub's Privacy Statement and Google's Privacy Policy for details on their practices.
We do not run our own analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts on this site.
The investigator dashboard demo
The Login and Dashboard pages simulate an investigator platform for demonstration purposes. The "sign in" flow does not check a real password against a real account, and all case data, evidence, and AI-generated findings shown there are entirely synthetic — none of it describes a real person, organization, or investigation.
Your choices
You can clear the local-storage preferences described above at any time through your browser's site-data settings. Because we don't collect personal information on our own servers, there is no account or stored profile of you to request, correct, or delete.
Children's privacy
This site is intended for a professional audience (law enforcement, government, and enterprise security buyers) and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
If how this site handles information changes — for example, once a real backend, real accounts, or analytics are introduced — this page will be updated and the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly.
